The art of following and was George Lucas into dancing?
I got a really interesting response on my last blog post. It was about the learning curve for guys and girls and it was really interesting... according to it guys generally have to put more time into learning then girls. However, if continued over time most guys who continued practicing would be "better" then most girls.

The reasoning behind this was that most girls would reach a "plateau" after a while if only social dancing.
Then there was also an opinion about that in the beginning girls only have to follow... ;-)
Now the art of following is almost "Zen" like or perhaps a bit close to my favorite comparison with Luke Skylwalker Jedi skills:

"Remember a Follower can feel the force flowing thorough her!" Quote slightly changed! ;-)
"Your eyes can decisive you, don´t trust them!"
"Feel don´t think"
"This time let go of your conscious self and act on instinct"
Now that´s some pretty deep follower stuff there! And btw there is a whole lot more...
Ben Kenobi: Remember, a Jedi can feel the Force flowing through him.
Luke Skywalker: You mean it controls your actions?
Ben Kenobi: Partially, but it also obeys your commands.
Translate Jedi with follower and the force would be the amount of energy used in either compression or tension
Question: Do you mean that the force (energy in the lead) provided controls my actions?
Answer: Partially, but you can also control the energy(force) in either compression or tension by what you do i.e. "spaghettis arms" or "rigid" frame"

Not sure I'm following you here. If we're speaking of beginners, are you saying this graph and the concept of "Beginner's Hell" for men, by Edie the Salsa Freak is wrong?
Aren't you denying the obvious, and contradicting what you wrote in your first blog post?
I's a lot harder for the guys in the beginning. You don't see them smiling at the dance floor when social dancing with expert women, beginner women smiling with expert leads is on the other hand a common sight.
